Wakweli Goes Live: A Milestone We're Proud to Have Been Part of

At EverdreamSoft, we have always believed that the future of the digital economy rests on one foundation: trust. It's why we build tools for digital ownership, why we championed blockchain before it was mainstream, and why, back in 2021, we created and incubated what would become Wakweli.

Today, that vision becomes a living reality.

The Wakweli Foundation has officially launched the Wakweli protocol on Base Mainnet, alongside the successful Token Generation Event (TGE) of $WAKU. This is a moment we have been working toward for nearly five years, and we couldn't be more proud to have played a part in bringing it to life.

From an Idea Incubated at EDS to a Standalone Protocol

Wakweli was born inside EverdreamSoft as an answer to a problem we kept encountering: in a world overflowing with digital content, how do you know what to trust? Our work in asset tokenization, blockchain gaming, and digital ownership consistently brought us back to the same challenge: authenticity. Who created this? Is it real? Can it be verified?

The answer we developed was Wakweli: a decentralized protocol built on a Proof-of-Democracy (PoD) consensus algorithm, designed to issue certificates of authenticity for digital information. Over time, the project grew into something larger than EverdreamSoft alone could, or should, contain. So we did what we believe in: we let it grow on its own terms, handing it over to the Wakweli Foundation to lead as an independent, community-governed project.

Watching it graduate from an internal incubation to a fully autonomous protocol, with its own foundation, its own community, and now its own mainnet, is exactly what success looks like for us.

What Launching on Mainnet Means

As of today, the Wakweli certification protocol is live on Base, Ethereum Layer-2, and accessible to anyone, anywhere, through the official interface. The Foundation is sponsoring all protocol-related transaction fees, meaning the barrier to start certifying digital assets is essentially zero.

The $WAKU token,  the protocol's "Unit of Trust", is now live and trading on both Ethereum and Base, opening at $0.06 per token. With a total initial supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens, $WAKU is the engine that allows users to:

  • Request certificates
  • Elect certifiers
  • Issue certificates
  • Maintain their validity on-chain

Its value is tied directly to demand for verifiable trust in the global digital economy, a market we believe is only beginning to emerge.

Why This Matters Beyond the Token

We know that token launches can be exciting and also overhyped. What makes today different, in our view, is what the launch represents structurally. Wakweli isn't a speculative asset; it's infrastructure. The protocol enables collective responsibility to replace centralized gatekeepers in the business of trust.

That's a shift with implications far beyond crypto: for media, for creative industries, for supply chains, for anyone navigating a digital world increasingly difficult to verify.

What's Next for Wakweli, and for Us

Looking ahead, the Wakweli Foundation has ambitious plans for the second half of 2026, including A Partners Developers Grant Program and a Digital Trust Education Initiative.

The long-term roadmap also includes research into a sovereign Layer-1 migration, which would give the protocol full independence at the infrastructure level as well.

At EverdreamSoft, we will continue to cheer this project on. Our mission -  enabling a decentralized, trusted, and sustainable creative society - and Wakweli's mission are deeply aligned. We see the protocol's growth as a direct extension of the work we set out to do in 2021.

The era of verifiable truth has arrived. We helped plant that seed, and we're glad to watch it bloom.
